Develop knowledge and skills across the spectrum of design, pre-press, printing, and post-press finishing in the Graphic and Print Technician program—the only program of its kind in Manitoba to teach flexographic printing and feature an onsite large Heidelberg press.

The combination of classroom theory, hands-on training in various techniques (including vehicle wraps), applied learning through a work practicum placement, and the foundation of employability and essential skills you gain from MITT’s Bridging to Work workshops ensure you graduate career-ready for a variety of opportunities in Manitoba’s robust printing industry.

Who it is for

Individuals who want to apply their creativity in the fast-paced world of manufacturing, who are equally in their element working at a desktop or operating large machinery, and who value accuracy and delivering a product that exceeds a customer’s expectations.

Work practicum

4-week work practicum or project

The unpaid Work Practicum normally takes place during the month following the last course of study.  A Work Practicum will be available to students that have met the employability skills outcomes of the program.

Students with overall achievement below 70% or that have issues which could limit their internship placement will be offered real-world projects within the classroom environment in place of a Work Practicum.

Work practicum is a mandatory component of this program. Students must meet all program eligibility criteria to qualify for practicum. MITT does not guarantee practicum placements when students do not meet eligibility criteria (including having a valid co-op work permit) or when sufficient placements are not available. In such situations, MITT will explore alternative options for program completion with a student.
