Adult Learning Centres (ALCs) are the first step toward your dream career. We offer career and post-secondary planning to help you map out your goals, and our dedicated student support workers are here to guide you along the way—with personalized support to help you navigate challenges, stay on track, and succeed in school and beyond.

Career development services

Take advantage of a variety of one-on-one services to help you take the next step after completing your ALC classes:

  • Post-secondary and career planning and exploration
  • Resume and cover letter development
  • Financial aid exploration
  • Connections to volunteer and work experience opportunities
  • Job search support
  • Interview preparation and practice

Career exploration and post-secondary planning resources

myBlueprint – This educational planning tool lets you explore post-secondary and career options, access labour market information, and reflect on career compatibility. MITT Adult Learning Centre students can create a free account.

To use myBlueprint:

  1. Create an account with your own email and password
  2. Use the Activation Key: mitt

Government of Canada Job Bank – Explore occupations, access labour market information, and check out job opportunities.

Transitional Programs to Post-Secondary Guide – A listing of vocational, college, and university program options in Winnipeg. This resource highlights programs designed for students who face barriers to education.

Post-secondary financial aid resources

Manitoba Student Aid – Offers college and university students grants, bursaries, and government loans to assist with the costs of post-secondary. Use the Student Aid Estimator tool to get a sense of what grant and loan funding you may be eligible for.

Training & Employment Services – Offers sponsorship for low-skilled Manitobans pursuing college programs under 2 years in length, academic upgrading, and English language training.
