The NSA program provides learners with comprehensive skills in Information Technology infrastructure design and support. Students apply their learning in hands-on advanced labs outfitted with industry-grade hardware and software from universally recognized technology leaders such as Cisco, Microsoft, Red Hat, and AWS. Upon completion of the program, students will be able to perform tasks related to networking, routing, switching, on-prem and cloud server administration, as well as essential remote access, communication, and messaging technologies.
The NSA program offers curriculum and certification pathways from leading vendor academy partners in Information and Communication Technology education, such as:
- Cisco Networking Academy
- Microsoft Learn for Educators
- CompTIA
- AWS Academy
- Red Hat Academy
Students in the NSA program are prepared to write industry certification exams such as:
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
- Cisco CCNA-Implementing and Administering Cisco Solutions
- AZ-900 Microsoft Azure Fundamentals
- MS-900 Microsoft 365 Fundamentals
- MS-203 Microsoft 365 Messaging Administrator Associate
- CompTIA Server+
- CompTIA Security+
- CompTIA A+
MITT students can choose to write their certification exams at MITT's Test Centre. The cost of certification exams is not included in tuition, but MITT students and alumni are eligible for discounted pricing through our partners.

Individuals who love to solve complex problems, have a desire to understand business processes and procedures, who are comfortable explaining complex topics to experts and non-experts alike, and who are eager to acquire progressive knowledge through self-guided lifelong learning.

Career information
Work Skills Foundations will be open for students to complete, independently and online, as of two weeks prior to their program start date. Please note that completion is mandatory for graduation. Work Skills Foundations helps you successfully transition into a post-secondary academic environment and navigate the cultural, academic, and work expectations you find there as well as in the workplace. Manitoba high school diploma (or expected completion within 45 days of the program start date), or equivalent, including:
- A minimum average of 70% over the following, with no less than 60% in each course:
- Mathematics 40S
- English Language Arts 40S
- A third 40S academic course
- A minimum score of 55 per cent on the Technology Programs Aptitude Test (TPAT). Find more information and a sample TPAT test on the Technology Programs Aptitude Test (TPAT) page.
Students needing to upgrade any of these high school requirements may contact one of MITT’s Adult Learning Centres (ALC).
If educated outside of Canada, applicants must also have demonstrated English Language Proficiency.
It is also strongly recommended that students be proficient in basic computer skills such as email, web searches, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software prior to applying for this program.

High school diploma (or expected completion within 45 days of the program start date), or equivalent. International applicants must meet the general entrance requirements [PDF] based on country/curriculum of study. Applicants must also meet the program-specific requirements, including:
- A minimum average of 70% over the following, with no less than 60% in each course:
- Senior level Mathematics (equivalent to a 40S Mathematics course)
- Senior level Language Arts (equivalent to 40S English Language Arts course)
- A third senior level academic course (equivalent to a 40S academic course)
- A minimum score of 55 per cent on the Technology Programs Aptitude Test (TPAT). Find more information and a sample TPAT test on the Technology Programs Aptitude Test (TPAT) page.
*All high school grades will be converted to an equivalent Manitoba grade scale.
