MITT Transition

As MITT winds down operations and transfers programs to RRC Polytech, we are working together to facilitate the transition of Fall 2026 programs, which will be delivered by RRC Polytech.

Permanent Residence

Becoming a Permanent Resident in Canada is an excellent pathway for international students who wish to build a future in Canada after completing their studies. 

Permanent Residence allows you to live, work, and study anywhere in Canada indefinitely while retaining citizenship in your home country. Permanent Residence holders also have access to social benefits like health care and the right to apply for Canadian citizenship after a qualifying period.

As an international student, you may be eligible to apply for Permanent Residence (PR) in Canada after completing your studies. There are two primary pathways: Federal Programs and the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). 

Federal Permanent Residence Application

Visit the official IRCC website to determine your eligibility and explore federal immigration programs.

  • Express Entry:
    A fast-track immigration system for skilled workers.

  • Family Sponsorship:
    If you have close family members who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents, they may sponsor you.

      Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)

      The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) allows the province to nominate individuals who meet its labor market needs.
