As work continues to integrate services at the South Winnipeg Campus, we want to keep you informed about a few changes that may be noticeable on campus in the coming weeks. While some services will be transitioning to RRC Polytech, our shared focus remains the same: supporting a safe, welcoming, and positive experience for all students.
Security Services
Beginning today, security services at the South Winnipeg Campus are being provided by RRC Polytech. Security coverage will continue across all South Winnipeg Campus locations, including the Henlow, Fultz and Pembina buildings.
You may notice new security personnel and uniforms on campus, but students can continue to expect the same level of support and assistance. This change is part of the ongoing transition process and is intended to ensure continued security services across the campus.
Emergency Response and Communications
As part of this change, emergency response activities at the South Winnipeg Campus will be led by RRC Polytech and coordinated with both institutions. In the event of an emergency, significant disruption, or campus closure, teams from RRC Polytech and MITT will work together to respond and share timely updates.
If an incident occurs, information will continue to be communicated through existing channels to help ensure students receive consistent and accurate information as quickly as possible.
Parking Services
Beginning August 1, parking services at the South Winnipeg Campus will be managed by RRC Polytech.
There are no immediate changes to parking for students. Information about permits, parking processes, and any future updates will be shared next week so students have advance notice of what to expect.
Campus Hours at the South Winnipeg Campus
Effective immediately, the South Winnipeg Campus will operate under the following hours:
- Campus open: 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
- Security on-site: 6:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Ordering textbooks and course materials from the Campus Store
As part of preparations for the Fall 2026 term, all textbooks and course materials for MITT students will be available through RRC Polytech’s Campus Store.
RRC Polytech has two physical Campus Store locations at the Exchange District and Notre Dame Campuses, and an online store, for textbooks, course materials, branded merchandise and more.
Course material lists for the Fall 2026 Term will begin to be available the week of August 3, by visiting the RRC Polytech Campus Store website – Shop Course Materials page. Because course information is still being finalized with programs, not all material lists will be available immediately. Updates will continue to be posted as information becomes available, so please check back if you do not yet see your course information.
Campus Store staff are available to support both staff and students with course material questions and ordering needs: https://www.rrc.ca/campusstore/contact/
