This week’s update includes information on student support services, printing services, locker rentals, and parking at the South Winnipeg Campus. As we prepare for the fall term, teams from MITT and RRC Polytech continue to work through operational details and will share additional information as plans are finalized.
Student Support Services for Current MITT Students
We know that access to supports such as student counselling, accessibility services, academic advising, tutoring, career and employment services, international student supports, and Indigenous student supports, is an important part of your educational journey. As the transition progresses, these services will continue to be available you as you complete your program.
Teams from MITT and RRC Polytech are working together to finalize how these services will be delivered and supported throughout the transition. While some details are still being confirmed, our shared priority is ensuring students continue to receive the support they need to be successful.
We appreciate that you may have questions about what this will look like and want to reassure you that planning is well underway. Additional information will be shared as soon as it is finalized.
Printing on Campus
Existing Kyocera printers will be available on campus for MITT students and staff. MITT students can access free printing in the Student Success Centre at 130 Henlow and in the student lounge at 1551 Pembina.
Reminder about Parking services at SWC for fall
RRC Polytech is providing advance notice of parking changes at South Winnipeg Campus (SWC) that will take place between Fall 2026 and January 2027.
Parking operations at SWC have transitioned to RRC Polytech. For the Fall 2026 term, the current staff and student parking lot structure and fees will remain in place, and students should continue parking in their existing designated student lots.
Students who are already paying for monthly parking do not need to take action at this time. Your existing permits will continue while RRC Polytech completes the required validation work.
South Winnipeg Campus students who require parking, including RRC Polytech and MITT students, should email parking@rrc.ca for enrollment instructions.
For casual daily parking, please continue to use the Hangtag app.
Upcoming change: Effective January 1, 2027, parking rates will be increased from $25/month to $70 plus GST /month to align with rates and a consistent approach for the parking programs RRC Polytech operates.

Update on Locker Rentals
For new locker rentals please use the RRC Polytech Campus Store contact form, or visit the Exchange District or Notre Dame Campus Stores in person. Please note that in-person locker rentals require the presentation of valid MITT student ID.
Due to an unexpected delay from the manufacturer in delivering the combination locks, locker rentals are not yet available. We now expect lockers will be available for in-store and online rentals beginning Monday, August 17. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Locker rental costs:
- 10-month term – $51
- 4-month term – $31
- 10-week term – $18.50
For high school students, lockers are reserved and will be assigned through your program.

Student updates will continue to be shared through Latest News and the MITT Transition webpage, where you can find the most current information and answers to frequently asked questions.
