Financial Aid and Awards

Being able to afford one or two years of full-time studies can seem overwhelming, or even impossible. With help from MITT and some online research, most students are able to access partial or complete funding to start their career training.

Students may be eligible for multiple types of funding to help reach their education goals! Government student loans are a great option and students often receive different grants, bursaries and sponsorships that do not need to be repaid. This may include any combination of:

  • MB/Canada student loans
  • Scholarships, bursaries, awards
  • Employment Insurance (EI)
  • Employment and Income Assistance (EIA)
  • Youth-In-Care Tuition Waiver
  • MB Economic Development and Training
  • Indigenous Services Canada
  • First nation’s band
  • MB Métis Federation (MMF)
  • Accessibility/disability funding and grants

Use the Student Loans, MITT Bursaries, Scholarships and Awards and Sponsorship and Funding pages to start researching what may be available to you. Contact funders and sponsors directly for more information on how to apply.
