Welcome to MITT! Orientation is your chance to meet the MITT community - including your classmates and instructors - and get informed as you prepare for the start of term.

A few tips
- Orientation is designed to give you all the information and resources you need to succeed at MITT. Attendance and participation is expected and will be tracked.
- International Students: If you have a work practicum as part of your program, please bring your Co-op permit for verification to the Immigration Services Advisor’s office at Henlow or Pembina Campus.
- Ask questions early and often. Student Services and our team of student advisors can help you by phone, email, or Zoom.

Pre-Orientation Workshop Series
The Workshop Series offers presentations to help you prepare for your first day at MITT. Sessions range in length from 15 minutes to one hour.

Looking for Housing: How and Where to Start

First time renting in Manitoba? Moving to Winnipeg? Join New Journey Housing in this workshop to learn how to get started, where to find housing, and your rights as a tenant.

Career Readiness: What Can You Do to be Prepared?

While you are preparing to start your program, there are a few important things you can start working on to strengthen your resume. Career services will share how you can gain experience while in school and the importance of being thoughtful about your work and volunteer experiences.
Being Ready: Time Management

A full-time program requires you to be in classes for almost eight hours a day. With work, school, family, hobbies, and friends, how do you make time for it all? Join us to learn how to manage your time.
Social Café
Duration: 90 minutes
Meet your peers, bring questions that you may have, or simply enjoy a cup of coffee or tea as you connect with others.
