Welcome to MITT! Orientation is your chance to meet the MITT community - including your classmates and instructors - and get informed as you prepare for the start of term.

A few tips
- Orientation is designed to give you all the information and resources you need to succeed at MITT. Attendance and participation is expected and will be tracked.
- For those preferring to attend the session on September 3rd in-person, please email orientation@mitt.ca for details.
- International Students: If you have a work practicum as part of your program, please bring your Co-op permit for verification on Sept 4 to the Community Services Fair.
- Ask questions early and often. Student Services and our team of student advisors can help you by phone, email, or Zoom.

Pre-Orientation Workshop Series
The Workshop Series offers presentations to help you prepare for your first day at MITT. Sessions range in length from 15 minutes to one hour.

Many of you are getting ready to travel to MITT and start your program. This webinar covers the following topics:

First time renting in Manitoba? Moving to Winnipeg? Join New Journey Housing in this workshop to learn how to get started, where to find accommodations, and your rights as a tenant.

Career Readiness: What Can You Do to be Prepared?

Duration: 15 minutes
While you are preparing to start your program, there are a few important things you can start working on to strengthen your resume. Career services will share how you can gain experience while in school and the importance of being thoughtful about your work and volunteer experiences.
Introduction to MyLearning: MITT’s Online Course Management Software

Duration: 20 minutes
MyLearning, also known as Brightspace, is the platform where you can access the online components of your courses, including Work Skills Foundations. This presentation explores how the platform works.
