      The course teaches the fundamentals of networking. It covers how devices communicate on a network, network addressing and network services, how to build a home network and configure basic security, the basics of configuring Cisco devices, and testing and troubleshooting network problems.

    • Technical Writing and Documentation I

      This course is designed to equip Cybersecurity professionals with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the initiation and planning phases of managing a project. Through a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application, participants will dive deep into understanding how organizational factors influence project success, from the initial development of business cases to the detailed identification of project characteristics. Participants will gain hands-on experience in constructing a project team, developing essential initiation documents including a project charter, and formulating a robust communication plan. This course also covers the critical components of project architecture, exploring the processes, tools, methodologies, and resources vital for achieving project objectives.

      Students will learn how to manage Microsoft Azure subscriptions, secure identities, administer the infrastructure, configure virtual networking, connect Microsoft Azure and on-premises sites, manage network traffic, implement storage solutions, create and scale virtual machines, implement web apps and containers, back up and share data, and monitoring solutions.

    • CCNA I: Introduction to Networks

      The first course in the 3-course CCNA series. The focus of this course is on learning the fundamentals of networking. Students will learn the practical and conceptual skills that build the foundation for understanding basic networking.

      Students understand how networks operate and how to build simple local area networks (LAN), perform basic configurations for routers and switches, and implement Internet Protocol (IP).

    • CCNA II: Switching, Routing, and Wireless Essentials

      The second course in the 3-course CCNA series. This course focuses on learning the architecture, components, and operations of routers and switches in a small network.  Students learn how to configure and troubleshoot routers and switches for advanced functionality using best security practices and resolve common issues with protocols in IPv4 and IPv6 networks.

    • CCNA III: Enterprise Networking, Security & Automation

      The third course in the 3-course CCNA series. Students will learn architecture, components, operations, and network security to scale for large, complex networks, including wide area network (WAN) technologies. The course emphasizes network security concepts and introduces network virtualization and automation. Students learn how to configure, troubleshoot, and secure enterprise network devices and understand how application programming interfaces (API) and configuration management tools enable network automation.

      Students will gain knowledge of Microsoft 365 capabilities, the skills required to better understand the benefits of adopting cloud services, the basics of a Software as a Service (SaaS) cloud model, and the value of implementing Microsoft 365 cloud services.

    • CompTIA Server+

      Students will gain hands-on skills required of IT professionals who install, manage and troubleshoot servers in data centers as well as on-premise and hybrid environments. The course is vendor-neutral and not restricted to a single platform thus applications at the administrator level are valid in any environment because it is the only certification not restricted to a single platform. The course covers essential hardware and software technologies of on-premise and hybrid server environments including high availability, cloud computing and scripting.

      This course establishes the core knowledge required for any cybersecurity role through practical problem-solving skills required to assess the security posture of an enterprise environment and recommend and implement appropriate security solutions, monitor and secure hybrid environments, including cloud, mobile, and IoT. Students will also learn how to operate with an awareness of applicable laws and policies, including principles of governance, risk, and compliance and identify, analyze, and respond to security events and incidents.

    • Network and Systems Administrator Capstone

      Troubleshooting hardware, software, and network problems are one of the most challenging challenges students face. Students will collaborate on a group project to simulate a comprehensive enterprise network based on the skills learned in previous courses to develop these skills. Students will then be required to troubleshoot and repair simulated network problems based on best practices.
