This exam preparation course is designed for trade professionals who wish to challenge the Class M Voice Data Video Electrical license. This license is required for trade professionals involved in the installation, maintenance, upgrading, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of:

  • Voice Data Video network systems such as telephone, data network, public address, alarm, CCTV, home entertainment system, and community antennae television (CATV); and
  • Signaling systems which include nurse call and security systems.

Please Note: This course does not provide training on the subject area. Individuals who register in this course are assumed to have the industry knowlege and experience in order to challenge the exam.

Challenging the Class M Voice Data Electrical License Exam

Individuals that wish to challenge the Class M Voice Data Electrical license exam must have a minimum of 3600 hours of work experience in the data communication industry. Individuals are responsible for booking their own exam time with the Manitoba Office of the Fire Commissioner. An additional fee will apply.
