The Certified Incident Handler (CIH) course provides learners with the opportunity to understand how a careful and organized reaction to an incident can either result in recovery or disaster, which the organization may not have the capacity from which to recuperate.
CIH is a method-driven course utilizing a holistic approach to cover a wide array of concepts concerning organizational incident handling and response, ranging from the preparing and planning the incident handling response, to the recovery of organizational assets after a security incident.
Courseware provided in partnership with EC-Council.
Note
To achieve the CIH Micro-Credential, course participants have 60 calendar days to challenge the CIH exam via EC-Council, and to submit a copy of their exam certificate to LifelongLearning@mitt.ca. Extensions for writing the exam and/or providing the exam certificate will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may be subject to an administration fee of $100.
Students should be aware that if they persue an occupation in cyber security they should be able to successfully pass a criminal record check at the organization they wish to work for.
