MITT Transition

We remain deeply committed to our students, our community, and to maintaining academic continuity. We have been working collaboratively with the Province of Manitoba and RRC Polytech to ensure students are supported and have a clear, well-defined plan to complete their programs.
All current MITT students will be able to complete their programs at the South Winnipeg Campus (Henlow, Pembina, and Fultz buildings).
After diligent, collaborative work between RRC Polytech and MITT, the academic program review of MITT’s programs is complete and full details are below.
MITT and RRC Polytech are now working with prospective students who have applied for admission to MITT to support their educational plans.
We will continue to update this page as we have new information to share.

RRC Polytech and MITT Program Review
On April 8, we announced that the academic program review is complete and that 19 MITT programs will be offered by RRC Polytech beginning this Fall for the 2026/2027 academic year.
The programs fall into two categories: unique MITT programs that will be adopted by RRC Polytech and aligned or equivalent MITT programs that will be preserved by RRC Polytech.

RRC Polytech South Winnipeg Campus
On March 13, MITT and RRC Polytech announced that RRC Polytech will permanently operate MITT’s Henlow Bay and Fultz Boulevard buildings to establish an RRC Polytech South Winnipeg Campus.
MITT and RRC Polytech will also work together to ensure the continued operation of the Pembina Highway building during the transition period and the preservation of the on-site daycare.
Nearly all 19 MITT programs that will transfer to RRC Polytech will continue to be offered at the South Winnipeg Campus, ensuring access remains for the community.
Future Students
Admitted Students and Applicants
Thank you for your patience throughout the transition process.
MITT and RRC Polytech are working together to facilitate the application process for Fall 2026, which will be delivered by RRC Polytech.
If you have already applied to MITT, you do not need to reapply to your program at RRC Polytech. MITT will finish processing all existing applications and will work with RRC Polytech to transfer you over.
Our application portal is now closed for all programs. Existing applicants will continue to be able to access the MITT application portal to view the status of their application.
All admitted, eligible, or waitlisted students will receive an email from RRC Polytech with instructions on how to transfer your application and next steps. When you complete your transfer form:
- Your application will be moved to RRC Polytech
- Any fees you’ve already paid will transfer with you
- No additional application or transfer fees are required
If you are an international applicant, you will received further information about your Letter of Acceptance (LOA) and Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) upon completion of the transfer form
NOTE: Since our programs are in the process of transitioning, the number of seats available for the Fall Term has not yet been confirmed, and a Fall start cannot be guaranteed at this time. Applicants will be notified as soon as seat availability is confirmed.
Prospective Students
MITT is no longer accepting new applications as of May 4, 2026.
If you are interested in applying for Fall 2026, applications are now being accepted by RRC Polytech at rrc.ca/explore
Current Students
All current students will be able to complete their studies. Those students who will be completing the second year of their program starting in Fall 2026 will continue their programs at their MITT campus and receive an MITT credential.
Students will continue to have access to the same services and supports and work-integrated learning placements will proceed as planned.
Apprenticeships will not be affected, and progression within the trades won’t change. Once a student completes their pre-apprenticeship or level in a trades program, they will progress to other institutions that offer the next levels of training.
As we continue to navigate this transition, we will work with international students to ensure they can complete their program in compliance with study permit requirements.
High School Programming
MITT High School
MITT High School will continue program delivery for the 2026/2027 academic year.
High School Partnerships
High school technical vocational programming will continue to be delivered at the South Winnipeg Campus by MITT for the 2026-2027 year before transitioning to RRC Polytech.
성인 학습 센터
RRC Polytech will continue to deliver training through the Adult Learning Centres in St. Vital, St. Norbert, and Portage la Prairie.
MITT will work with the province of Manitoba to move MITT’s remaining Adult Learning Centres to a new provider so communities can continue accessing quality adult education.
