International Partnerships

MITT is committed to building strong partnerships with educational institutions, government agencies, and industry leaders worldwide. These partnerships enhance learning opportunities, create pathways for collaboration, and support students in achieving career success in an increasingly globalized workforce.

Canadian Institutional Partnerships

MITT collaborates with post-secondary institutions across Canada to develop academic partnerships, joint programs, and articulation agreements. Our partnerships focus on:

  • Creating seamless pathways for students to further their education.
  • Offering accredited programs that align with industry standards.
  • Providing specialized training, including the Post-Graduate Certificate in International Business in collaboration with the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT).

International Institutional Partnerships

MITT is dedicated to building global connections that benefit students, faculty, and partner institutions. Our international partnerships:

  • Enhance access to globally recognized training and certification.
  • Support industry-driven training that prepares students for international careers.

Minnesota-Manitoba Reciprocity Agreement

MITT participates in the Minnesota-Manitoba Tuition Reciprocity Agreement, which allows Minnesota residents to pay the same tuition rates as domestic students in Manitoba. This agreement creates an affordable option for U.S. students to study at MITT while gaining hands-on, industry-focused education.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the tuition reciprocity agreement, students must:

Be a Resident of Minnesota

Proof of residency includes a Minnesota driver’s license, state ID, or voter registration.

File a Minnesota Tax Return

Applicants must provide proof of filing a Minnesota tax return from the previous year.

Provide Additional Documentation
You will also be asked to submit official government proof that you are a resident of Minnesota.

    1. Proof of filing a Minnesota tax return from the previous year, or if not available, proof of a parent or guardians’ filing a Minnesota tax return from the previous year.
    2. One of the following:
      • A copy of your Minnesota voter registration
      • Copies of both sides of your visa
      • A copy of your DD214 from the Department of Defense
      • A copy of your military dependent I.D.

How to Apply

    1. Apply for Admission to MITT – Submit an online application and pay the international application fee.
    2. Submit Proof of Residency and Required Documents – Upload all required documentation as part of your application.
    3. Confirm Participation – After submitting your application, email enrolment@mitt.ca to confirm your participation in the Minnesota-Manitoba Reciprocity Agreement.
