After You Apply

Thank you for applying to MITT! We’re excited you’ve taken the first step toward your future. Now that your application is submitted, here’s what to expect next. From checking your application status to understanding what happens if you’re waitlisted, this page will guide you through each step of the admissions process—all the way to receiving your offer.

Check Your Application Status

Once MITT receives your completed application, it will be reviewed by our Admissions Team. Processing time is typically 6–8 weeks.

You can log in to your Application Hub account at any time to track the status of your application.

      Important Notes

      • If required documents are missing, you will receive an email notification and have 30 days to upload them.
      • Upload outstanding documents to your Application Hub account—documents sent via email are not accepted.
      • MITT prioritizes complete applications. An application is considered complete only after all required information and official document scans are submitted in the proper format.
      • Received: Your application has been received and is queued for processing.
      • Processing: Your application is under review by Admissions.
      • Action Required: Additional information or documents are needed (refer to your email or the “documents” tab in the application hub).
      • Updated – Pending Verification: Updates have been submitted and are awaiting review by Admissions.
      • Processing Complete: All necessary information has been received, and an admission decision is pending.
      • Processing Terminated: The application was withdrawn before an admission decision was made.

        Admissions and Aptitude Testing

        If your program requires a skills assessment or admission/aptitude test such as the TPAT, MITT’s Test Centre will contact you to schedule the test.

        Assessment and Notification

        Class sizes at MITT are limited, and applications often exceed the number of available seats. Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission.

        Once your application is complete and assessed, you will receive an email notification with one of the following admission decisions.

        Admission Decisions

        • Admission Offered: You meet the eligibility criteria, and admission has been offered.
        • Eligible for Admission – Decision Pending:
          • You meet the eligibility criteria, but admission to the program/intake has not yet commenced OR is ongoing (e.g., all seats are offered but not yet accepted).
          • This decision will eventually result in either an admission offer or a waitlist notification.
        • Waitlisted: You meet the eligibility criteria, but no seats are currently available. You have been placed on the waitlist.
        • Ineligible: You do not meet the entrance requirements and are not eligible for admission at this time.

        Important information about waitlists

        • If your program of choice is full, you will remain on the waitlist until the program start date.
        • If no spaces become available by the program start date, you may need to reapply for a future intake.
        • MITT does not share waitlist positions with applicants.

        Receive Your Offer of Admission

        If you meet all entrance requirements and a seat is available for your chosen program and intake, you will receive an Offer of Admission by email. Congratulations! 

        Accept Your Offer of Admission

        To accept your Offer of Admission, you must:

        1. Pay the required admission deposit.
        2. Submit any required forms by the deadline outlined in your offer.

        Failure to pay the deposit or tuition by the indicated deadlines will result in your Offer of Admission being withdrawn.

        Admission Deposit

        Post-Secondary and Post-Graduate Programs: $400 ($5,000 for International Students)

        • Admission deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

        Deposits may be refundable if a study permit refusal is issued. Please see Refunds for more details.

        Admission Limits

        If you are eligible for admission to more than one post-secondary program, you must select one program. Your other application(s) will be canceled.

        Any admission deposit paid for a previously accepted offer is non-refundable.

        Receive Your Letter of Acceptance (LOA)

        Once you accept your Offer of Admission and pay the required deposit and fees, you will receive your Letter of Acceptance (LOA) within 5–10 business days.
