Eight MITT students represent Team Manitoba at the Skills Canada National Competition

We’re proud to share that eight MITT students travelled to Toronto last week to represent Manitoba at the Skills Canada National Competition (SCNC).  

Each year, over 500 students from across Canada attend the SCNC to compete in 40+ skilled trades and technology categories. To qualify, they must win gold in their provincial or territorial competition. This two-day event tests their competency in their training area, their ability to problem-solve, apply creativity to a project, and much more. 

Our students competed in six skilled trade and technology areas, including Electrical Installations, Hairstyling, Industrial Mechanics, IT Network Systems Admin, Website Technologies, and Welding. 

Congratulations to our competitors for the hard work they put into preparing for this moment, and to our MITT instructors, whose guidance and support helped equip them for success.
