Program Withdrawal

To withdraw from a program, follow the appropriate instructions below. You remain enrolled until the appropriate withdrawal form is received by MITT. The effective date of withdrawal is the date the completed form is received. Without a submitted form, enrollment continues, and failing grades may be assigned.

Withdrawing from a program may entitle you to Tuition and Fee Refunds.

Withdrawal requests are assessed based on the Student Withdrawal Policy and the Tuition Refund Schedule.

Before withdrawing

1. Applicant Who Has Not Yet Been Admitted

• Action: Email admissions@mitt.ca from the email associated with your application.
• Include: Full name, MITT student number, program, and intake applied to.

2. Admitted Student (Program/Classes Not Started)

• Action: Complete the Admitted Student Withdrawal Form and submit it to admissions@mitt.ca.

3. Current Student (Program/Classes Started)

• Action: Complete the Current Student Withdrawal Form and submit it to enrolment@mitt.ca.

4. Study Permit Refusal by IRCC (Program/Classes Not Started)

• Action: Submit the following no later than six (6) weeks after the date of permit refusal and prior to the start of your MITT classes: 
  • Official study permit refusal letter from IRCC or the Canadian Embassy.
  • Admitted Student Withdrawal Form.
• Note: Documents received after classes start are subject to the regular refund policy and schedule.
• Note: Your application must be active, prior to the study permit/visa rejected notice being received. It must not have been cancelled, withdrawn, revoked, or rescinded for any reason.
