Students taking ESL training at our Pembina and Erin campuses come from a variety of backgrounds and with just as varied aspirations. Some are taking their first steps towards landing their very first job in Canada. Others have established roots and are seeking a path towards bigger goals, though improved language skills. Still others have come from far and wide with a different dream: to start a business in the best country in the world.

This afternoon, YouthBuild MITT brought together the entire family: students, staff, children and community leaders joined in fellowship to celebrate the holidays and enjoy each other's company at a beautiful feast.

On November 24, MITT hosted Manitoba Aerospace's “Glide to Your Future” event, highlighting aerospace, manufacturing and skilled trades careers. This one-hour contest challenged students to work together as a team to build a miniature glider.

MITT Student Oksana Shevchuk has come a long way in a few short months. Originally from Ukraine, Oksana and her husband have made Winnipeg their second home. After her recent speech to help celebrate the opening of MITT's English Language Institute, Oksana has now received special recognition from The Manitoba Council For International Education (MCIE).
