Current Application Processing Times

The COVID-19 situation has impacted our application processing times. Processing may take between 6 to 12 weeks, and potentially longer in some instances. Due to high application volumes, we are processing international applications on a selective basis (e.g. for Fall 2021 we are only processing applications that include a valid study permit). We also prioritize applicants that include all documents required to make an admission decision. Please be sure to review our How to Apply page before applying to verify that all required documents are submitted at the time of application.

Important Information for Spring 2022 International Applicants

Out of an abundance of caution and to safeguard our international applicants at this challenging time, as of April 4, 2022, MITT will only process international applications for the Spring 2022 intake with a valid Canadian study permit or study permit approval, and will use IRCC study permit processing times and Visa Application Centre accessibility to guide admission decisions. Students completing a pre-requisite program in Canada with a study permit application in process will also be prioritized - this includes students completing MITT's English for Academic Purposes programs at the English Language Institute.

As of April 4, 2021 applications submitted to a Spring 2022 program without a study permit, study permit approval (e.g. Port of Entry Letter of Introduction) or without implied status (proof of an in-Canada study permit application submitted before the previous study permit expire) will not be processed and will not be considered for future intakes*. Some exceptions may apply for applicants applying from countries identified by MITT as having acceptable study permit processing times. Please inquire with admissions@mitt.ca prior to applying. Application fees are non-refundable.

*This does not apply to English for Academic Purposes programs.
