Upcoming Application Opening Dates

Current Application Processing Times

Processing may take between 6 to 8 weeks, and potentially longer in some instances. Due to high application volumes, we are processing international applications on a selective basis (e.g. for Spring 2024 we are only processing applications that include a valid study permit). We also prioritize applicants that include all documents required to make an admission decision. Please be sure to review our How to Apply page before applying to verify that all required documents are submitted at the time of application.

Important Information for International Applicants

It is important that you check IRCC study permit processing times and understand current IRCC guidelines and requirements, as well as review our on campus start dates and withdrawal and refund informationbefore applying to MITT. Application fees are non-refundable.

Out of an abundance of caution and to safeguard our international applicants, applications submitted after the dates below without a valid study permit, study permit approval (e.g. Port of Entry Letter of Introduction) or without implied status (Proof of an in-Canada study permit application submitted before the previous study permit expired) will not be processed and will not be considered for future intakes*. Some exceptions may apply for applicants applying from countries identified by MITT as having acceptable study permit processing times. Please inquire with admissions@mitt.ca prior to applying. Application fees are non-refundable.

Spring 2024 programs: March 1, 2024

*This does not apply to English for Academic Purposes Programs

A reminder: MITT always prioritizes complete applications that include all documents required to make an admissions decision. Review our International How to Apply page for details on required documents.

*Some programs fill up quickly and we recommend that students apply well in advance of the application deadline. In order to manage limited seats, application processing volumes and timelines, MITT accepts a finite number of applications per program. Applications may close in advance of the dates listed above. Once a program has reached its target, the application for that program will close. Applications received will be assessed and if seats remain available, the program will re-open.
