Adventure Manitoba Program

Program dates: July 4 – Aug. 4, 2023 (5-weeks)

The Adventure Manitoba program combines interactive, engaging English language learning with a variety of social and cultural activities designed to introduce you to the best the province of Manitoba offers in the summer time.

Highly skilled, dynamic instructors help you to improve your English abilities through engaging lessons and activities. International students will study English alongside French-speaking students from the Canadian province of Quebec.

Students will also have the opportunity to earn a Manitoba Ambassador certificate (through a partnership with the Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology and the Manitoba Tourism Education Council (mtec.mb.ca) after attending a training session, attending all of the scheduled activities and completing a related seminar.

Students will also be able to experience indigenous teachings, learnings and cultural outings related to Anishinaabeg, Cree, Dakota Peoples and the Metis Nation.

Program details:

  • Language proficiency requirements: none required. Placement testing is done on-line (before students arrive) after registration is complete.
  • Course hours: 30 per week
  • Activities included (see below).
  • Health insurance: mandatory for international students. Coverage by me
  • Letter of Acceptance provided to all participants

Program Activities:

Here are some of the activities planned for the Adventure Manitoba program this summer:

Supplies: Learning materials will be provided at no charge to students. All other supplies including a computer or tablet with an internet connection must be supplied by students.

Placement Testing: Students will take an on-line English Language comprehension approximately two weeks before the program start date to determine their appropriate level.

Program fees: $3,500 CAD (including tuition, textbook fee, application fee, health insurance, accommodation (off-campus residence - including meals), airport pickup/drop-off, Winnipeg transit pass and most activities).

Sample Schedule:

Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. English for Academic Purposes Classes
Monday to Friday 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Seminar/Activity (on-campus/off-campus)
Saturdays Full day Adventure Manitoba Activities
