The T2202 Tuition and Enrolment Certificate is issued each February for the previous tax year. It helps eligible students claim education-related tax credits through the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).
You may be eligible to claim:
Visit the CRA website for details on eligible tuition fees and amounts which cannot be claimed as tuition fees.
You may receive a T2202 if you:
Your T2202 will be available through your Student Portal by the end of February each year.

No problem. CRA does not require your T2202 to be submitted with your tax return, and the address does not need to be corrected.
The receipt reflects attendance dates, not payment dates. Tuition is divided by tax year if your program crosses years.

No. In accordance with the Manitoba Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA), MITT can only release T2202 tax forms directly to students. We are not authorized to share this information with third parties, including parents or guardians.
