Refunds

Overview
If your program is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, or you withdraw from a program, you may be eligible for tuition and fee refund, subject to the timelines and conditions outlined below.
Please note that certain fees are non-refundable, as specified in the Non-Refundable Fees section.
For two-year programs, the refund schedule applies separately to each year.
Educational institutions are required to:
- Forward any refund for student loan recipients directly to the lending institution to reduce student loan debt.
- Forward refunds directly to third parties who paid tuition on behalf of a student, as required by Education Training Services and other sponsoring agencies.

Non-Refundable Fees
The following fees are non-refundable upon withdrawal from your program or any courses within it:
- Application Fee
- Admission Deposit
- TPAT (Technology Programs Aptitude Test) Fee (if applicable)
- Late Payment Fees (if applicable)
- Payment Plan Fee (if applicable)
- Other Compulsory Fees
Domestic Students
As of the first day of the program, the following fees are non-refundable:
- Infrastructure and Technology Fee
- Student Award Fund Fee
International Students:
As of the first day of the program, the following fees are non-refundable:
- Infrastructure and Technology Fee
- Student Award Fund Fee
- Work Skills Foundations Fee
- Health Insurance Fee
Study Permit Refusal
If an international student receives a study permit refusal from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) that prevents them from beginning their program at MITT, the following conditions apply:
- Withdrawal Request: Must be received prior to the program start date; otherwise, the regular refund policy applies.
- Required Documentation: An official study permit refusal letter from IRCC or the Canadian Embassy and a completed withdrawal form must be submitted no later than six weeks after the date of refusal.

How to Request a Refund
Once your withdrawal is approved and you’re deemed eligible for a refund:
- Complete the appropriate Refund Request Form
- Submit the form to finance@mitt.ca
Processing refunds may take 6-10 weeks after the form is received by the Finance department.
