College Programs Application Process

Your journey at MITT starts here
Curious about how to apply to our college programs? We’ve made the process easy to follow—and if you need a hand, our team’s ready to help at every step.
Let’s get you where you want to go.
Step 1
Choose your program
Explore all of our available college programs, each of which is designed to give you the skills and knowledge needed for your career.
Step 2
Decide when you want to start
At MITT, programs are available year-round with intakes in Fall (September), Winter (January), and Spring (May). The programs offered may vary depending on the intake, so be sure to check current availability of your program of choice through the Online Application.
Apply Early – Secure Your Spot
Many programs are in high demand and fill up quickly. Once a program reaches capacity, applications for that program will close and remaining eligible applicants will be waitlisted. If seats become available again, the program may re-open.
Important information for international applicants
It’s important to research the time required to obtain a study permit. Ensure the program intake you select aligns with your expected study permit approval timeline.
Step 3
Determine if you meet admission requirements
Review all admission requirements to ensure you qualify for your chosen program.
Review our Admission Requirements to make sure you are all set. This page also highlights specific requirements for mature students, applicants to MITT’s post-graduate programs, homeschool applicants, and students applying from MITT’s Adult Learning Centres.
If you're applying from outside Manitoba or Canada, check out the Course and Curriculum Equivalencies page—it covers international high school requirements and how courses line up across other Canadian provinces.
Make sure to visit the program page for the program you’re applying to—some have additional requirements you’ll want to know about.
Step 4
Gather and prepare supporting documents
You will need to upload key documents to support your application. This includes:
High school and post-secondary transcripts
Proof of graduation (if applicable)
Proof of English language proficiency (if needed)
Important information for international applicants
International students must upload passport ID pages and immigration documents, while permanent residents must provide proof of status.
Visit Transcripts and Official Documents for a full checklist, upload instructions, and submission deadlines.
Step 5
Complete the online application process
Once you’ve chosen your program, reviewed the requirements, and gathered your documents, you’re ready to submit your online application. This step is where you officially start your journey with us.
