Originally posted: May 17, 2021
May 17 is International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia.
Founded in 2004, the day draws attention to the violence and discrimination that lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, Two-Spirit, queer or questioning, intersex, asexual/aromantic and other communities have suffered through. Today, more than 130 countries recognize and celebrate this day. Full information about International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia can be found at May17.org.
Support close to home
The 2020-21 academic year has been a challenge for the LGBT2SQIA+ community and MITT Pride on campus, as gathering restrictions have limited the ability to meet in person, leaving many students feeling alone.
In the spirit of our ongoing efforts to promote MITT community wellness, we are providing the following list of resources for our students.
