May 17 is International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia.

IDAHOTBFounded in 2004, the day draws attention to the violence and discrimination that lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, Two-Spirit, queer or questioning, intersex, asexual/aromantic and other communities have suffered through. The 2020-21 academic year has been a challenge for the LGBT2SQIA+ community and MITT Pride on campus, as gathering restrictions have limited the ability to meet in person, leaving many students feeling alone.
