What will classes look like at MITT 2020/21?
MITT will be a hybrid learning experience that will include a combination of online learning and scheduled on-campus training throughout their program. Student will connect live with their instructors and fellow classmates through a virtual learning platform called Brightspace for online training. For designated blocks throughout the program students will participate in hands-on training that meets strict health and distancing protocols. We will resume with full-time in-class training as soon as we are able to safely do so.

What campus amenities are available?
Limited services and amenities will be available based on the current public health orders. This includes food services, student lounges, and other shared spaces on-campus. Our campus re-opening plan includes a four-coloured advisory (red, orange, yellow, green) that guides the level to which we need to ramp up or ramp down on-campus delivery of learning and services. This system is directly informed by public health orders of the day and is clearly communicated (and updated as necessary) on MITT.ca for all staff, students, and guests to see.
What are you doing to keep students and staff safe?
MITT’s campus re-opening plan for fall meets the Province’s June 1 requirements for post-secondary institutions as part of Phase 2 of its Restoring Safe Services plan*. We will continue to monitor the public health orders in Manitoba and follow the Province’s lead, adapt our planning, in the event of any changes. Returning students and staff will see a range of measures in place to ensure their protection and guide their participation in safe on-campus learning.

What computer equipment will I need?
To access the Brightspace Learning Platform, the following internet, hardware and software will be required, at minimum:
