MITT donates critical supplies to health care front lines in battle against COVID-19

Sterile gloves. Hand sanitizer. Masks. In a normal day in a Winnipeg hospital, you’d spy stocks of these items at every check-in desk, examination room, waiting room, and washroom. But ever since Manitoba joined the fray with COVID-19, so much of what we would consider a “normal day” had been flipped on its head.
Fortunately, that doesn’t apply to the willingness of Manitobans to step up and help their community in a time of need.
Recently, MITT donated these critical protective and sanitary supplies to the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority, joining fellow public post-secondary institutions in Manitoba to provide support to the front line of health care. MITT has also donated digital billboard assets—previously booked for its ongoing domestic recruitment campaign—to the Province to help their promotion of vital public health messaging in communities throughout Winnipeg.
“MITT is proud to work in close collaboration with the Province of Manitoba in response to COVID-19,” says MITT President and CEO, Ray Karasevich. “We looked at our resources to determine how we could help our neighbours and friends on the front line of this battle and join the efforts of fellow post-secondary institutions in this regard. We’re in this together with all Manitobans.”
MITT’s donation to the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority includes:
- Nitrile gloves
- Sterile gloves (medical grade)
- Disinfectant wipes
- N95 Respirators
- Hand Sanitizer bottles
- Isolation gowns
- Digital billboards throughout Winnipeg
