MITT hosting third annual Pow Wow on April 17
Originally posted: March 17, 2025
MITT is proud to host its third annual Pow Wow on April 17. MITT’s Pow Wow is a cultural celebration that honours the achievements of Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, and Inuit) students in a traditional way. The event is open to the public and is an opportunity to learn about Indigenous culture and connect with the community.
There will be drumming and dancing throughout the day, and Indigenous vendors and crafters will be onsite at an Indigenous market selling a variety of items, from jewelry to artwork. Dancers are welcome to attend and participate and will be offered an honorarium, while drum group participation is by invitation only. Dancer registration will be on site. Vendors interested in joining the Indigenous market are invited to contact candace.wood@mitt.ca.
