Peer Tutoring and Academic Supports

Academic SupportsPeer Tutors are a free academic support for current MITT students needing additional help and practice in math and other program specific topics.

Students acting as Peer Tutors receive an hourly honorarium for up to 10 hours per tutored student. This is an excellent opportunity to develop the leadership, communication, numeracy, and problem solving skills employers are looking for. Being a Peer Tutor is a great experience to highlight on a resume!

Current MITT students requesting to become a Peer Tutor, or students needing help from a Peer Tutor, should start by speaking with their program Instructor.

Other academic supports are available for math and reading comprehension as requested or recommended by the student or their Instructor. Please contact Student Services at Henlow 204-989-6512 for more information.
