The CAD Technician program provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to translate ideas, sketches and specifications into accurate working drawings using both manual and computer-assisted drafting techniques.

NEW!! MITT is proud to announce our first Women in Trades Entrance Scholarships for programs starting in January 2020! Two $500 scholarships will be awarded to women entering any of the MITT trades programs listed below, in addition to one $500 scholarship specifically for women enrolled in Carpentry.

To be considered all you need to do is apply to an eligible program no later than November 30, 2019! Recipients are chosen based on grades from the high school Math and English entrance requirements submitted during the program application process.

Before the start of this program, international students will be required to complete Introduction to College and Work, a four-week preparatory program designed to help transition students successfully to the cultural, technical, and work expectations of Canadian post-secondary and workplace environments. Description

If you are interested in manufacturing, building technology and sciences, then our CAD Technician program will give you the required knowledge and skills necessary to translate your ideas, sketches and specifications into accurate working drawings using both manual and computer-assisted drafting techniques through the use of 2D and 3D software. For success in this industry you should possess a strong attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, excellent organization, and strong verbal and written communication skills.

Your course content includes credits in architectural, mechanical and civil drafting. Career opportunities are as drafting technicians, and CAD Operators for engineering firms, major utilities and manufacturing firms.

With our Graphic and Print Technician program, you will learn the entire process of printing production from design and pre-press, through to printing and post press finishing operations.
