This course session is aligned with a scheduled exam at the Office of the Fire Commissioner in Winnipeg, on May 28.

Individuals that wish to challenge this exam are required to apply directly with the Office of the Fire Commissioner.

An additional fee will apply.

MITT recommends that individuals follow up with the Office of the Fire Commissioner with any questions regarding the exam, and exam application deadline.

This exam preparation course is designed for trade professionals who wish to challenge the Class M Voice Data Video Electrical license. This license is required for trade professionals involved in the installation, maintenance, upgrading, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of:

  • Voice Data Video network systems such as telephone, data network, public address, alarm, CCTV, home entertainment system, and community antennae television (CATV); and
  • Signaling systems which include nurse call and security systems.

Please Note:

This course does not provide training on the subject area.

Individuals that wish to challenge the Class M Voice Data Electrical license exam must have a minimum of 3600 hours of work experience in the data communication industry.

Individuals are responsible for booking their own exam time with the Manitoba Office of the Fire Commissioner.
