Registration Fee: $275.00

What is Explore?: Explore is a five-week intensive language-immersion program. Participants in Explore receive a $2,200 bursary from the Canadian government (taxable income) that covers tuition fees for the programs, instructional materials, meals and accommodations, workshops, and other mandatory activities.

Eligibility Requirements: In order to qualify for the Explore bursary, you must:

  • be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident (those studying in Canada on a student visa are not eligible); and
  • be at least 18 years old by the time your Explore course begins; and
  • have been a full-time student for at least one term during the current school year.

Your Costs: Your Explore Bursary covers the cost of accommodations, tuition and three meals per day during the program. Transportation (local and to/from Winnipeg) and incidental costs are not included.

Program Description: MITT's English Language Institute is committed to providing a fulfilling language learning experience. Our program aims to improve your skills in all four key components -reading, writing, listening and speaking - by immersing you in the English language through classroom work as well as socio-cultural activities.  Our highly skilled instructors will push you to improve your English abilities through engaging lessons and activities.  We are sure you will enjoy your summer in "Friendly Manitoba"!

Supplies: Textbooks and learning materials will be provided at no charge to students.  All other supplies such as pencils, notebooks, pens, etc. must be supplied by students.

Insurance: Students are required to purchase their own travel health insurance prior to arriving in Manitoba.

Monday - Friday 9:00am - 12:00pm English for General Purposes
Monday - Friday 12:00pm-1:00pm Lunch
Monday - Friday 1:00pm-4:00pm Seminar / Activity
Saturday - Sunday time TBD Activity

Arrival:  June 24, 2018. Early arrivals will incur an extra charge and must be approved by the Program Director.

June 25 – Placement Tests

June 26 – Activity

June 27 – First Day of Class

July 27 – Final Day of Class (including Final Assessment) and Farewell Party

July 28 – Students Depart Winnipeg
