MITT has joined all Manitoba universities, colleges and The School Board Association in signing the Indigenous Education Blueprint, at a ceremony held at Migizii Agamik (Bald Eagle Lodge) at the University of Manitoba. This is the second key commitment to Indigenous education that MITT has signed in the last year. On the national level, we also recently signed the Indigenous Education Protocol, put forward by Colleges and Institutes Canada.

Today MITT announced the launch of a new online resource for students and instructors. The Student Portal allows for increased communication and allows students to track their progress as they work towards graduation.

The Hon. Kerri Irvin-Ross, Manitoba Minister of Family Services announced today the funding for a new Childcare Centre for MITT Henlow Campus, planned for completion in the Spring of 2017. The new daycare will have 74 spaces for children of MITT students, family, employees and the surrounding community.

MITT has now made it even easier for local students to apply online, with the new application form on our website. Prospective students can now create an account, log in and submit both application and payment electronically from anywhere it's convenient.
