John Schubert, Chair of MITT’s Governing Board, announced today its selection of Ray Karasevich as MITT’s new President and CEO. Karasevich, who has been with MITT since 2014, has been serving as the Institute’s interim President and CEO since May 2017.

Last June, Mike O’Regan was busy trying to drum up apprenticeship carpenters to help build a seniors’ complex in south Winnipeg, when he got a call from YouthBuild asking him if he’d come and speak to students before graduation.

Now in its 14 year, the United Way Winnipeg’s annual Plane Pull event felt unapologetically Winnipeg this morning as groups of people cradling warm beverages braved chilly September winds as they waited for their chance to wage tug of war with an airplane. All of it, in the name of giving back to the community.
