Team MITT Skills Manitoba 2018

Today, hundreds of secondary, post-secondary, and apprentice-level students will test their abilities in front of peers, instructors, and industry pros as part of the 21st annual Skills Manitoba Competition. MITT is once again well-represented by its team of 19 participants and our campuses will be abuzz with activity as we host competitions for Industrial Mechanic/Millwright, Network Systems Administration and, for the first time, Electronics.

“The Skills Manitoba Competition is a great experience for the entire MITT community,” says Ray Karasevich, MITT President and CEO. “I wish our competitors and their coaches every success and I am excited that MITT gets to once again showcase its students, staff, and programs with guests from across Manitoba.”

Over the years, MITT students have medalled at both the provincial and national level and our instructors have made significant contributions not only to the Skills Manitoba competitions, but to Skills competitions around the world: in 2017, MITT’s Dan Zvanovec ran the Industrial Mechanic/Millwright competition at the World Skills Competition in Abu Dhabi.
