Once again this year, MITT is at Rotary Career Symposium, a major event for our outreach efforts towards young people exploring options in post-secondary education and job-focussed planning. This 3-day event showcases leading industries, employment and educational opportunities in Manitoba and beyond, with over 200 exhibit booths and 70 speaker sessions. Featuring both business and educational leaders it’s the largest and most comprehensive event of its kind in Canada. While the event primarily targets Grade 9-12 students, it is open to the general public and attracts both secondary students as well as adults looking for career changes or continuing education.
A special delegation from the CAD Technician program took part in the "Dare to Discover" component, where attendees began by drawing plans for a hovercraft, and worked step-by-step through the manufacturing process to create the real thing.
Students from the Pharmacy Tech program made new friends as we explained with the program had to offer.
Visitors to our booth learned about the Industrial Mechanic Millwright program and machined their own custom keytags.
Popular Culinary Arts Instructor Ray Rajotte always gives his guests something to smile about.
